CO-NECT

CO-NECT is a collaborative student project developed with Avi Bruslair, Meira Eisenstein, and Naomi Manvitz. Throughout the project, we explored the need for shade and moments of rest during people’s movement through the city. We developed a modular system composed of multiple parts, designed to integrate with the urban fabric, from which green elements emerge — moss, planting containers, and a central climbing tree that provides shade.

The system supports various sitting positions, including saddle seating, low seating, and leaning postures, allowing people to gather both individually and in groups. By combining structure, vegetation, and public space, the project aims to bring more greenery into the city and create a place where people can pause, rest, and reconnect with their surroundings during their everyday movement.
