CORNERSTONE

CORNERSTONE is an exhibition I created in 2021 at Uma Gallery, curated by Revital Steinberg. The exhibition presents cubes—the fundamental form when approaching the material—on which I applied manipulation. The process of creating the exhibition took place during my military service, and the opening itself was a kind of discharge leave from the army.

CONNECION

Creating ceramic joints is a technique I used to express my connection to the material. Their delicate balance demands precision, patience, and technical skill, reflecting both the craftsmanship and the relationship between maker and material.

I specialized in Raku firing at the Tozeret Mitzpe- ceramics studio in Mitzpe Ramon. This fast firing technique, combined with post-firing reduction, creates unique colors and surface patterns, making every piece one of a kind. The firing process is carried out as a ritual with a clear sequence of stages, yet each firing reveals a different and unpredictable result.
